Ferries between the aiestrip on Manda Island and Lamu cost Ksh100and leave about half an hour before the flights leave. Expect to pay Ksh200 for a custom trip if you miss either of these boats.
Between Lamu village and Shela there are plenty of motorised dhows in either direction throughout the day until around sunset;these cost about Ksh100 per person and leave when full. Alternatively, you can hire a whole boat for Ksh250 to Ksh 300, or Ksh400 after dark.
There are also regular ferries between Lamu and Paté Island.
